I've always drawn and painted but took it up more seriously as an adult.
I studied Painting and Drawing with the Open College of the Arts 1989 - 90.
I gained a B.A. ( Illustration ) from University of Wolverhampton in 2000.
After my degree I trained and worked as an art teacher in Further Education, teaching for several years in a Young Offender Institution.
I've attended Slade Summer School on many occasions, including Drawing and Painting (2002), Sculpture (2004) and Portraiture (2016).
I continue to develop my own skills and interests, which are mainly portraiture (both animals and humans) and, more recently, still life.
